The Society of Mediterranean Archaeology (SoMA) supports the study, scientific excavation and research of the Mediterranean region and aims to assist students in gaining practical international archaeological experience. Based at the University of Sydney, we host parties, talks, and a new podcast series to showcase recent research by our archaeological community.
Each year SoMA offers the Olwen Tudor Jones Scholarship to a University of Sydney student of archaeology, or associated field, of high academic achievement for the purpose of partially funding that student's travel costs to participate in fieldwork in the Mediterranean region. All fundraising activities held by SoMA go towards the Olwen Tudor Jones Scholarship and archaeological fieldwork conducted by the University. |
